![]() UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, has expressed concern about the prevailing humanitarian needs within Afghanistan and urged for continuous support to ensure necessary assistance in the country.Įurope fears Afghan refugee crisis after Taliban takeoverĮuropean countries, as well as Turkey, fear the sudden return of Taliban rule in Afghanistan could change that. Health workers have been called to return to or to remain at their posts, including female health staff," said WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic. And this is based on provincial-level field monitoring. "Continuity of health services must continue without interruption across the country, with a focus on ensuring women have access to female health-workers.Most major health facilities are functional. The current drought is expected to worsen an already dire situation, it further said.Ī Marine with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command provides water to a child during an evacuation at Kabul airport According to a report with the Voice of America (VOA), the WHO has said one-third of the population is facing acute hunger and more than half of all children under age five are malnourished. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has also raised an alarm regarding the healthcare situation in Afghanistan, where conflict has left countless people vulnerable to hunger and illnesses. What WHO said on humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan They said that while the main focus in recent days has been the evacuation of foreigners and vulnerable Afghans, “the massive humanitarian needs facing the majority of the population should not - and cannot - be neglected. The agencies said that, even before the Taliban's recent takeover of Afghanistan, the country required the world's third-largest humanitarian operation, with more than 18 million people needing help. They noted that other humanitarian agencies face similar problems. Overall I am impressed and will be keeping it.But they added that “with no commercial aircraft currently permitted to land in Kabul, we have no way to get supplies into the country and to those in need.” But for responsiveness, unless I was going back and forth between the two, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and native PC VR. Oviously there is still compromises to image quality over wireless. I did that and once my quest had wifi again, I was able to connect to virtual display through air bridge.ĭoing this gave me the best PCVR experience I've had with the quest 2 yet, even better than link over a cable. But you can share internet with air bridge in windows settings. ![]() This only connects you to the PC, it doesn't bridge your internet connection. Out of the box, when you connect to air bridge your quest does not have any internet access. This device creates a direct connection to your PC but it is a separate wifi channel to connect to on the quest. It was still a worse experience than using VD natively. A stuttery blocky mess, I still wouldn't use this. The air link quality was still pretty bad. When I first set it up, I was pretty disappointed. I have no numbers to give, this is just my subjective experience, so who knows how generalizable my experience is. I have a 1200mbps connection using the stock Xfinity router connected over ethernet and I only tested this with beat saber. I got this device because air link as is was unusable for me and virtual desktop, while better, was still pretty stuttery and blocky.
